TECHNICAL SHEET Digue Express® Anti-flooding dam
DESCRIPTION
Digue Express® is a modular and versatile anti-flooding dam, usable for water levels varying from 30 cm to 2 meters over an unlimited length.
It is used:
as a preventive measure when a flood is announced;
curatively by immersion then by pumping the area to be protected.
Equipped with standardized fittings, quick to install, Digue Express ensures a very high level of protection and safety of traffic routes, industrial, historic or strategic sites.
IMPLEMENTATION
Unfolding on the site
The first step is to unfold and unroll the dam (s) on the site to be protected.
Once the boom (s) has been unfolded, close the valves and waterproof zippers to proceed with inflation.
Inflation
The tubes are inflated using a thermal blower.
The dams are filled with air to facilitate their installation and to have better contact with the ground. The protection will only be reinforced.
Arrangement of the twin tubes
The two tubes are laced together. The lacing is carried out from the middle to the ends of the tubes.
They must be tight before receiving the monotube.
Installation of cuffs (junctions)
The sleeves make it possible to link two lengths of dams while maintaining the tightness and therefore the protection at this junction.
Water filling
The water is filled using Storz or Guillemin fittings (1/2 symmetrical fitting).
During filling, the air is expelled by an overflow. The dams therefore retain their shape throughout this stage.
When the dams are full, the excess water is discharged through the overflow.
Emptying and storage
The emptying is quick and is carried out thanks to the waterproof zippers.
Emptying must be followed by complete drying of the tubes before storage in order to prolong their life.
